Road Trip

Addie's first road trip....to Holden Beach!! Our annual fall trip to Holden Beach was very exciting this year because Addie was 6 weeks old and going on vacation. We had to take so much extra stuff for Addie, as you can see based upon the packing job, but Daniel somehow managed to find a place for everything, and we even got to take our bikes!!

What did you put on my binky Mommy?

She was fussy in the restaurant so she got a little whip cream from the dessert on her binky...I think she had a sugar high based on this picture!!

Addie is Miss Sensitivity!!

Addie was almost 3 weeks old when we started noticing little bumps on her face. It seemed like everyday we were waking up to more bumps spreading all over her face, then her neck, then her chest, and arms. It almost gave her Mommy a nervous breakdown!! The doctor told us that it was a reaction to something she had come in contact with, combined with severe baby acne!! Poor thing...I know these little bumps itched. These will be the pictures she never wants anybody to see when she gets older!!

Addie can sit up like...BIGZ!!

Addie can hold her bottle...for a little while!!

Just chillin...

Addie is only 1 week old and she already knows how to get relaxed...you got it...it's the Boppy again!!!

Addie's first favorite...

Addie's first favorite thing in life is the BOPPY!! This thing has been priceless...she sleeps on it, we sleep on it...enough said!! And of course...did I mention that every night to go to bed she sleeps on her Daddy's chest, and you got it...he sleeps on the Boppy!!

Addie loves bath time!!

Out into the REAL world!!

Welcome home baby girl!! We were so excited to take Addie home!! We couldn't wait to get out of the hospital...we needed a good nights sleep (with a 3 day old baby..ha ha) in a comfortable bed!!

Oh Happy Day!!!!

Welcome to the world Addison Bella Flora!! Our little Addie was born on August 22, 2009 at 1:47 am. She weighed 8 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 inches long. A bigger baby then we expected...but perfect!! She had a head full of dark hair, except for one little patch on the top left of her head...it was blonde (and still is). We call this her Papaw Jim patch (that's my Papaw and the only person I can think she would get blonde hair from). All the nurses wanted to see the baby with highlighted hair!!

Is she ever going to get here?!?!?

I was put in the hospital at 6 days overdue for the doctor to induce. Pitocin started at 7:00 am on 8/21 and she was born at 1:47 am on 8/22. Needless to say....Daniel and I, along with everybody in the waiting room thought little Addie would never get here!!

Addie's Nursery

It took us forever to finish Addie's nursery. I was working on painting these rings the day I checked into the hospital. Now that it's done...totally worth it!!

Just getting started

After a lot of talking, I have finally decided it is time to start this page, so that our friends and family can watch our little family grow!! I love watching my friend Alicia's baby, Hunter, grow on her blog. Now Daniel and I can show the many stages of Addie!! So that everyone can see how she has grown so far, I am going to go back to when she was born and start from there. She sure has changed in 9 weeks!!
